Vehicle theft is on the rise in the Sea to Sky region

 

British Columbia's Sea to Sky region sees an increase in vehicle thefts, says Skye RCMP. In the past two weeks, police have reported an increase in reported vehicle thefts in areas including Rainbow, Whistler Village, Nordic and Spruce Grove. Police warned people not to leave spare keys or valuables inside their vehicles and to lock them at all times.

Officials advised police to report a stolen vehicle immediately and contact the RCMP if they have dashcam footage or other evidence.
