Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) said it will publish online the expected time it will take to complete the processing of applications using forward-looking processing times. This will enable applicants to know how long it will take to process their applications, the department said.

Immigration programs updating processing times:

.Canadian Experience Class (Express Entry)
.Provincial Nominees Program (Express Entry and non-Express Entry)
.Federal Skilled Workers (Express Entry)
.Quebec Skilled Workers
.citizenship grants
.citizenship certificate (proof of citizenship)
.spouse or common-law partner living inside Canada
.spouse, common-law or conjugal partner living outside Canada parents or grandparents

A report released by the Office of the Auditor General last October stated that the way processing time is calculated is necessary to change. The report had recommendations on how IRCC calculates application processing time and communicates this to clients.
