Alberta's Peyto Lake has been voted the cleanest place on Earth

Located in the Alberta Rockies, Peyto Lake was voted the cleanest place by Travel+Leisure magazine. Peyto Lake is located in Banff National Park. It is described as a jewel colored lake. The lake is about an hour's drive from the townsite of Banff and two hours from the townsite of Jasper.

The lake and glacier are named after Bill Peyto, a famous mountain guide in Banff. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, many tourists flock to Peyto Lake every day.

Other places that made the list include Crater Lake in Oregon, Egremmnoi in Greece, and Ambergris Caye in Belize.
