Salmonella bacteria presence: Frito Lay Canada recalls two snacks

 

Frito Lay Canada is recalling two popular snacks following warnings that they may contain salmonella bacteria. Sunchips Harvest Cheddar Flavored Multigrain Snacks and Munchies Original Snack Mix are being recalled. The action comes after it was discovered that an ingredient added to these snacks may contain salmonella bacteria.

Salmonella was not found in the food, but the recall is being done as a precaution, the company said. Purchasers of this product are advised to destroy or return it as soon as possible.
