Amsterdam: The Netherlands allowed euthanasia for a 29-year-old woman suffering from mental problems. Soraya Ter Beek, a young woman suffering from depression, was given permission to end her life. The woman said that she will take her own life in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, fierce opposition is rising against the decision.

One section demands that euthanasia be stopped and that the young woman withdraw from the decision to die. But Soraya rejected the objections and entered the scene. "When you have mental problems, people think you can't think straight, which is insulting," she said.

The young woman has been suffering from severe mental problems since childhood. The young woman has severe depression, anxiety and trauma personality disorder. And they are autistic. Along with self-harm, Soraya also has suicidal thoughts. She says that no treatment could ease her suffering. Soraya had earlier expressed her desire to perform euthanasia on the sofa of her lover near her. Euthanasia has been legal in the Netherlands since 2002, when the law permits euthanasia for those who suffer 'intolerable suffering with no prospect of improvement'.
