Ontario to experience extreme heat: Weather warning issued

Meteorologists have warned that much of Ontario, including the Greater Toronto Area, will experience extreme heat as temperatures rise. The public has been warned that there will be a heat wave from Monday and to be cautious. The warning says dangerously hot and humid conditions are expected throughout the week. It also worsens air quality, it warns.

Daytime highs will be around 30 to 35 degrees Celsius. Depending on the humidity, it could feel between 40 and 45 degrees. Night temperature will be between 20 to 23 degrees Celsius. The warning applies to communities such as Windsor, London, Kitchener-Waterloo, Peterborough, Kingston, Cornwall, Barrie, Huntsville, Algonquin Park, Sudbury, Timmins, Cochrane, Moosonee and Fort Severn.
