Canada Immigration Minister Mark Miller has announced that foreign nationals will no longer be able to apply for work permits at the US-Canada border. International students are also not eligible to apply for a postgraduate work permit (PGWP) at the border. The minister clarified that the new measure will come into effect soon. Instead, more unified and reformed policies will be implemented to speed up application processing of foreign nationals, the minister added.
