Bengaluru/Kozhikode: The rescue mission is progressing for Arjun, a native of Kozhikode, who was injured in a landslide on the national highway in Shirur, Karnataka. Hopeful search for Arjun is continuing at night. The rescue operation will continue till 9 pm. It has been decided to bring big lights. With the help of lights, soil removal can be done by looking at the rain situation. An accident took place on the Shirur National Highway last Tuesday. The mission team suspects that Arjun's lorry is stuck underground. A metal detector is used to check if there is a lorry under the ground.


Arjun's brother-in-law Jitil responded to Shiruril News that the rescue mission will be complete only if the army descends and conducts a search. Jithin also asked to intensify the search with more systems. Heavy rains are creating a crisis for rescue operations. Jithin told News that even after 4 days of the accident, the search started today. There is a possibility of another landslide in the area. The officials stated that it is difficult to move the soil and frequent rains are creating an extreme challenge. At the same time, the authorities have confirmed that Arjun's lorry is not in the river. Uttara Kannada District Collector Lakshmi Priya told News that the Navy's divers went down to check the hole and could not find the lorry. Lori's GPS location was last seen underground. Apart from Navy divers, a 100-member NDRF team is involved in the rescue operation. ADGP R Surendra is coordinating the rescue operation.
