Cyclone Gamei: Eight dead in Taiwan

 

Taiwan: Eight people died in Taiwan in the strongest Cyclone  in the country in eight years. Kaohsiung, the country's second largest city, was flooded in many parts. About 866 people were injured. An oil tanker and a cargo ship sank in the flood. Heavy damage was reported in Taiwan and the Philippines even before Typhoon Gamey made landfall. More than two lakh houses have lost power. China cancels hundreds of flights to Taiwan Train services have been suspended in the country.
