Jasper wildfire: Bus service for evacuees started on Sunday

 

Bus routes for evacuees from Jasper began Sunday. This is to allow those whose homes have been damaged by bushfires to see first-hand. The first trip was from Edmonton to Edison. Officials clarified that the bus services are being run as the forest fire is currently under control.

Thousands of people were evacuated from the city last week because of the fire. Their houses and many buildings and businesses in the city were gutted in the forest fire. Officials have clarified that measures will be taken to ensure psychological support while allowing direct viewing of the damage.
