Dead rat found in poke bowl at Vancouver restaurant

 

A dead rat was found in a poke bowl purchased from a poke restaurant in Vancouver. On July 29, Kam Kakwan, who went to the Poke Bar restaurant in Kingsway, had a bad experience. Kakwan says he was shocked to find a dead rat in a poke bowl with cabbage and lettuce. He went to the poke bar and told about his experience. The bowl was shown to them. The restaurant officials said to replace the poke bowl. But Kakwan contacted franchise owner Michael Hwang. It was then announced that Kakwan would be compensated $500.

The incident was investigated and the cleanliness and other conditions of the restaurant were assessed. The franchise owner said that more CCTV cameras will be added to the food assembly line so that more attention can be paid to the restaurant in the future.
