Toronto man arrested for links to terrorist organization

 

The RCMP arrested a Toronto man in the GTA on suspicion of having ties to a terrorist organization. The suspect was identified in late 2021 following an investigation based on information received from the FBI. The suspect, who lives in Toronto, was arrested on Monday, police said.

The RCMP says he participated in the activities of a terrorist group listed by Canada as a terrorist organization and incited another person to engage in terrorist activities. The accused, who was a minor at the time of the charge, was charged with terrorism after a lengthy investigation. The RCMP said his name could not be released and more information would be released at a later date.
