Canada imposes tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles

The federal government is about to impose a 100 percent tariff on Chinese-made electric vehicles in Canada. Trudeau has announced tariffs of 25 percent on aluminum and steel to protect domestic production, and is also considering tariffs on computer chips and solar cells.
