Golden opportunity for remote working professionals interested in working and visiting Spain. All professionals who are self-employed or work remotely in a company outside of Spain have the opportunity to reside in the country through a Digital Nomad visa. The autonomous community of Extremadura, bordering Portugal, is offering plans to attract remote workers, Euronews reports. Extremadura is a region with famous cities such as Cáceres, Mérida, Badajoz and Placencia. Live, work and visit here. The amount offered to employees is up to $22,372.

The government is increasingly looking for IT professionals and telecommuters. Also, must agree to stay in the area for at least two years. Digital nomads living abroad or elsewhere in Spain can apply for a grant. Non-EU citizens with a Digital Nomad visa are also eligible to apply. If you do not have a visa, you can first apply for a digital nomad visa. An approved residency document must be in place before applying for the grant.
