Jerusalem: The new plan prepared by the US for the cease-fire agreement in Gaza may be ready within a few days. The agreement with new conditions is being prepared after earlier mediation efforts by Qatar, Egypt and the US failed. The dispute centers on Israel's position that its troops will continue to operate in the Philadelphia Corridor along the southern Gaza-Egypt border and the number of Palestinian prisoners to be released from Israeli prisons in exchange for the hostages' release. Efforts are underway to resolve this dispute. Along with Hamas, 5 Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, oppose the Israeli military presence in the Philadelphia Corridor after the war.
