Wellington: The Indian High Commission has warned that Indian nurses coming to New Zealand are facing difficulties in getting jobs. The new directive comes as the Indian High Commission has noticed that many Indian nurses are facing difficulty in securing employment despite successfully completing the Competency Assessment Program (CAP) and registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council.

It is estimated that many Malayali nurses are currently unemployed in New Zealand. All the problems faced by nurseries have come before the Indian High Commission.

Just paying a month's rent in New Zealand can cost a lot of money. Many are struggling to afford even this. There are also many agencies that take money from nurses claiming to help them get a job.
