India got crores of economic benefit through ODI World Cup

 

Mumbai: Last year India got a huge financial gain by hosting the One Day Cricket World Cup. According to the ICC's figures, India had a profit of Rs 11,637 crore. The figure has been released after including income from other related sectors related to cricket. According to the ICC, more than seven thousand crore rupees have reached the tourism sector in connection with the World Cup. The ICC's comprehensive economic report also shows that employment opportunities have been created in several sectors. The ODI World Cup was held in ten cities in India.

Australia won the World Cup by defeating India in the final held in Ahmedabad. Australia won by six wickets that day. Travis Head's century at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad gave Australia the world title. The then coach Rahul Dravid recently spoke about the loss in the ODI World Cup final.
