Edmonton Transit Service says it's phasing out paper tickets and passes. Instead, Regen Electronic Fare Payment System (Arc) will be used. The new system will come into effect from November 9. Beginning in 2022, Edmonton Transit Service began a phased transition to the Arc. An ETS spokesperson informed that all passengers can use the new system.

Transit users can load money onto their Ark cards using a credit card, debit card or cash. Passengers can load money onto their ARC cards online, over the phone, from an ARC vending machine, personal service center or retail outlet.
