In Calgary, 67 percent are concerned about safety, the report said

 

The Calgary Foundation reports that 67 percent of Calgary residents are concerned about safety in the city. Almost eight in ten respond that it is not safe to walk alone in the city center at night. 59 said they were concerned about rising rates of domestic violence. 78 percent of Calgarians are afraid to walk alone at night. Calgarians were asked to comment on issues such as mental health, well-being, food insecurity, racism and discrimination.
