Tehran: Iran's Quad Force Chief is reported to be missing. Ismail Khani is missing. Iranian defense officials said Khani went missing after an Israeli airstrike on Beirut last week. Ismail Khani went to Lebanon after the news that Hezbollah leader Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah had been killed in an Israeli airstrike.

In 2020, Qasim Sulaimani was killed in a drone attack by the United States in Baghdad. After this, Khani was appointed as the head of the foreign military intelligence section of the Revolutionary Guards Corps. After taking office, Khani vowed to expel American forces from the Middle East. Qani's words are that Soleimani's path will be strongly supported and America will be removed from the region.

Meanwhile, 67-year-old Khani was born in Mashhad, northeastern Iran. He fought for the Revolutionary Guards during the Iran-Iraq War in the 1980s. Unlike Soleimani, Qhani preferred to conduct most of his meetings and visits to neighboring countries in private.
