International media are reporting that the new outage is literally blacking out the people of the island nation, which has been plagued with prolonged power cuts.
Cuba's largest power plant, the Antonio Guterres Power Plant, went on strike on Friday. Cuba's President Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez responds that the primary consideration is to find a solution to the current situation. Cuban President X has stated that he will not rest until electricity is restored. Officials in the Ministry of Energy explain that the steps to restore electricity are in the initial stage. The authorities explain that it is to generate electricity suitable for starting the operation of many electric plants. Schools, night clubs and other non-essential activities have been declared closed till Monday.
