Moscow: Soldiers from North Korea have reportedly arrived to help Russia in the Ukraine conflict. Ukraine's military intelligence service says it has spotted North Korean soldiers in Russia's Kursk region. It is reported that they are training in different parts of Russia. Ukraine has alleged that approximately 12,000 North Korean soldiers are receiving training at five military training grounds in Russia's eastern region.

Various international media reports that the two brigades of 6,000 men each include 500 officers and three generals. Russia initially dismissed allegations of North Korean military deployment. However, it is also noteworthy that Russian President Vladimir Putin did not deny sending North Korean troops to the country at the BRICS summit held on Thursday. US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has also confirmed that North Korean troops are conducting military exercises in Russia.

At the same time, South Korea has made it clear that it will supply weapons to Ukraine if North Korea's troops are sent to fight on Russia's behalf. Ukrainian media reported that South Korea has announced that it will consider sending intelligence personnel to Ukraine in response to North Korea's actions.
