Systems such as tilt sensor, intrusion sensor and double locking are common in UK cars. But models with these systems are rare in Canada. The last time anti-theft norms were revised in the country was in 2007. Car thefts also decreased significantly that year. So there is a need to revise the standards again. Transport Minister Anita Anand said that when the matter was brought to our attention, it would be done immediately. Anita Anand stated that it will take time to change the rules, but it is aimed to implement it as soon as possible.
