An Australian man who took sex stimulants was admitted to the hospital after suffering from lead poisoning. According to local media Nine News, Multani, known as Kamini, was poisoned after taking a stimulant called Kaminividravana Rasam.

Following the incident, Australian health officials have issued an emergency warning regarding the drug. He bought and used the drug from a Southeast Asian store in Adelaide. It is believed to have been brought here illegally. The accident was caused by high levels of lead and mercury in the product.

Marketed as a powerful stimulant, this product comes in the form of dark pills. Chris Lees, director of protection and regulation at SA Health, said the potential risks posed by such products were significant.

Australian health officials have issued a warning saying that these contain many harmful ingredients, such as lead and mercury, which can cause serious illness and even death if they reach the body in excessive amounts. Health experts have earlier warned against its use after the presence of large amounts of toxic chemicals was found in kamini.

The Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) previously issued a warning stating that safety, quality and efficacy studies have not been completed for the product. It is also emphasized that its ingredients are classified as dangerous poisons. As tests continue to detect the presence of drugs like codeine and morphine, concerns are growing about the contents of Kamini.
