WASHINGTON, DC: Susie Wiles, who ran President-elect Trump's campaign for the past two years, will serve as his chief of staff if he takes office in January. The chief of staff is seen as the most influential job in the White House.
"Susie is honored to be the first female Chief of Staff in the history of the United States. I have no doubt that she will make our nation proud.
"Susie Wiles helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history and was an integral part of the successful 2016 and 2020 campaigns," Trump said in a statement.
“Susie is brilliant and universally recognized and respected. Susie will continue to work tirelessly to make America great again," he added.
The chief of staff pick is the first administration post Trump has announced since taking office early Wednesday.
