Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu openly admitted that he had knowledge of the pager explosion in Lebanon in September. 40 people were killed and around 3,000 injured in September's pager blast targeting Hezbollah operatives. Netanyahu confirmed he had given the go-ahead for the pager attack, his spokesman Omar Dostri told the AFP news agency.
On September 17, 18, thousands of pagers exploded in Hezbollah strongholds in Lebanon. Iran and Hezbollah have accused Israel of being behind the attack.
