Vinesh Phogat is the most searched name by Indians on Google

 

 

Delhi: The name 'Vinesh Phogat', who created history in Paris by becoming the first Indian woman wrestler to reach the Olympic final, was the most searched name by Indians in 2024. Vinesh Phogat has been in the news for several reasons, including filing a complaint against Brij Bhushan Singh and being elected as a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Jhulan in the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is in second place. Nitish Kumar has gained so much attention with his decisive moves in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Chirag Paswan came in third place and Hardik Pandya came in fourth place. Actor and politician Pawan Kalyan is the fifth most searched name in India.

Shashank Singh, Poonam Pandey, Radhika Merchant, Abhishek Sharma, and Lakshya Sen are among the top 10. It is interesting to note that 5 out of 10 names in Google searches are sports stars.
