Mumbai: Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2 has crossed a new milestone in Indian cinema history. Pushpa 2 has now achieved the record of becoming the third highest-grossing Indian film at the global box office. Only Baahubali 2 and Dangal are ahead of Pushpa.
Within 12 days of its release, Pushpa 2 has surpassed the collections of SS Rajamouli's RRR (1230 crores) and KGF 2 (1215 crores) in global collections. Currently, only Aamir Khan starrer Dangal (2000 crores) and Rajamouli himself directed Baahubali 2 (1790 crores) are ahead of Pushpa 2. Pushpa 2 is likely to surpass Baahubali 2's collection.
According to box office tracker Sacnil.com, Pushpa 2 has earned Rs 27.75 crore on its second Tuesday. So far, Pushpa 2 has earned Rs 930 crore at the Indian box office alone. If we look at the second Monday's collection, 63.7 percent of the Indian collection has fallen on Tuesday.
At the same time, Pushpa 2's total collection in India is approaching Rs 1000 crore. At the same time, Pushpa 2's Hindi collection has crossed Rs 500 crore. Before this, only 7 Hindi films have achieved this feat. Out of them, Pushpa 2 has become the fastest film to achieve Rs 500 crore.
Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa 2 stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil as Pushpa Raj, Srivalli, and Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, respectively. The film's music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
