Tokyo: The Kairos rocket of Japan's private space launch company Space One has failed again. Within minutes of launch, the rocket lost control and nosedived in mid-air. The Kairos rocket was carrying five small artificial satellites, including one from the Taiwan Space Agency. The attempt was to launch the satellites into an orbit 500 kilometers above the Earth.

The Kairos space launch vehicle of the Space One company has suffered a setback. The second launch of this rocket also failed minutes after liftoff. Kairos is an 18-meter-high solid-fuel rocket. The Kairos rocket lost stability within minutes of lifting off from Japan's Spaceport Key, prompting an aborted launch, Reuters reported. Space One officials said the launch of the Kairos rocket was not a complete success, marking a setback for Space One's second attempt to become Japan's first private company to successfully send artificial satellites into space.
