Air Canada has launched a new feature to help passengers track their bags. According to it, if their bags are lost or delayed, customers can use the Share Item Location feature on the Air Canada website. The location of an Apple AirTag or Find My network will be securely shared with the airline. Air Canada says this is a more efficient way to connect passengers with their luggage.

Create a location link in the Find My app on a passenger’s iPhone, iPad, or Mac, and share it with Air Canada’s baggage team via the baggage claim website. Location sharing will automatically end once the bag is recovered. This is part of ensuring customer privacy and security. Customers can stop location sharing at any time. Otherwise, sharing will automatically expire after seven days. To use the new Sharing Location feature, customers must verify that their Apple device is running iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, or macOS 15.2 or later.
