Taliban strikes back; 19 Pakistani soldiers killed in Pakistan attack

 

 

Islamabad: The Taliban has carried out an airstrike in Pakistan. It is reported that 19 Pakistani soldiers have been killed in the attack. There are reports that there have been several attacks on Pakistani posts in the border areas. There are also reports that the Taliban has captured two Pakistani military posts.

The Taliban has carried out attacks on multiple places in Pakistan in retaliation for the deadly airstrikes carried out by Pakistan in Afghanistan last week. The Taliban's Defense Ministry has confirmed the attacks. However, without naming Pakistan, the Taliban has said that the attack was carried out beyond the imaginary line. A few days ago, 46 people were killed in an airstrike carried out by Pakistan in Afghanistan. The Taliban said most of the casualties in the attack in eastern Paktika province were women and children and vowed to retaliate forcefully. Pakistan has repeatedly accused the Taliban of failing to stop cross-border terrorist activities. However, the Taliban government has consistently denied these allegations. Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have been high since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan in 2021.
