Calgary woman sold fake iPhone online; police searching for woman

 

 

Calgary police are searching for a Calgary woman suspected of selling a fake iPhone to a man she met online last year. Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the woman. Investigators say the victim testified that she purchased the iPhone from the woman on November 16 through Facebook Marketplace and that it was fake.

The buyer and seller met in person and exchanged money for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The man recognized the phone as fake and called police. Police have released a photo of the woman. Investigators said anyone with information about the suspect should contact police.
