The survey was conducted by the Canadian Medical Association and Abacus Data. It was found that 37% of respondents in the survey sought medical advice online because they were unable to reach a doctor or medical professional. It was also found that 23% of them had a negative impact on their health when they acted on the health advice they found online. 3,727 people participated in the survey.
