5 deaths due to Guillain-Barre syndrome in Maharashtra, 149 people under treatment, number of patients increasing

Delhi: The number of deaths due to Guillain-Barre syndrome in Maharashtra has reached 5. This comes after the test results of two 60-year-olds who died in the past few days came in. The Maharashtra government has officially confirmed that both deaths were due to GB. Three people, including a young chartered accountant, had died earlier. The number of patients is also increasing.

Currently, 149 people are undergoing treatment in various hospitals. Of these, 80 have been confirmed to have the disease. The maximum number of patients are in the Pune Municipal Corporation limits. Tests have revealed that the germs are transmitted through water. The central team is still camping in Pune and monitoring the situation. The government has announced that it will provide expensive treatment completely free of charge.
