Starlink to India, Airtel signs deal with Elon Musk's SpaceX

 

Delhi: Airtel has signed a deal with Elon Musk's SpaceX. This is the first agreement to be signed with SpaceX in India. High-speed internet will be made available to Indian customers, and Starlink will start operating after receiving legal approval. Airtel claimed that the move will pave the way for an internet revolution in rural areas. The crucial step comes weeks after Narendra Modi and Elon Musk held talks. Starlink satellite internet service was launched in Bhutan last month. Bhutan is the first country in the Indian subcontinent to get Starlink service. Starlink is awaiting final approval to start service in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
