Washington: Severe damage has been caused by tornadoes that have struck four states in the US. Reports say that 27 people have died, including three deaths in car accidents caused by dust storms in Texas. 14 people have died in Missouri, which has caused the most damage. Although there were warnings that 26 tornadoes had formed, there is no confirmation that all of them have made landfall.

Power has not yet been restored in many parts of Missouri. The administration has warned residents to move to safer places until the weather improves. Since Friday, tornadoes have formed in various states in the US. Missouri, Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma are the states that have suffered the most damage.

The death toll rose after a tornado swept more than 50 vehicles on a highway in Kansas on Friday, killing eight people. The weather has been getting worse since Saturday evening. The governors of Arkansas and Georgia have declared states of emergency. International media reported that 689 square kilometers of land had burned in Oklahoma, and 300 homes had been damaged in the blaze, which was growing due to the winds.
