A storm that hit the Midwest and Southeast regions of the United States and several states on Saturday night caused heavy damage. Many buildings and vehicles were damaged. Power was disrupted in most places. The storm has reportedly killed 32 people. There were warnings that 26 tornadoes had formed on Friday night and Saturday, but there is no confirmation that all of them have made landfall. The tornadoes hit parts of Arkansas, Illinois, Mississippi and Missouri with strong thunderstorms, said David Roth, a meteorologist at the US National Weather Service.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported eight deaths on highways after a dust storm in Sherman County on Friday. At least 50 vehicle accidents were reported. In Texas, 27 people were reported dead, including three in car crashes caused by the dust storm. The weather has become more severe since Saturday evening. The governors of Arkansas and Georgia have declared states of emergency. In Oklahoma, 689 square kilometers of land have burned, and 300 homes have been damaged by the wind, according to international media reports.
