Vatican: Pope Francis has started breathing without oxygen support and has changed his mask, the Vatican announced. The Pope, who has been in the hospital for a month, is reportedly improving. The Vatican recently released a picture of Pope Francis praying in front of a crucifix. The picture showed the Pope wearing a white robe and purple shawl and praying in a wheelchair.

The Pope was admitted to the Gemelli Hospital in Rome on February 14 due to pneumonia in his lungs. Although his health condition has been critical for some time, doctors say he is currently improving. The Vatican released an audio message from the Pope last week thanking those who prayed. The Pope's audio message was heard during the night prayer in St. Peter's Square. The Vatican has clarified that the Pope is currently not experiencing respiratory distress, but will remain in the hospital until he fully recovers.
