Islamabad: Customers in Pakistan will soon get Starlink services. The Pakistani government has granted a temporary NOC to Elon Musk's company, which provides satellite internet. Pakistan's IT Minister Shaja Fatima said that Starlink has been granted temporary registration on the instructions of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. With this, the way has been opened for the launch of Starlink services in Pakistan.

Shaja Fatima said that Starlink has been granted a temporary NOC in Pakistan after the consent of all security and regulatory agencies. With this, satellite internet services will be formally launched in Pakistan. The minister said that this is a big step towards improving internet services and IT infrastructure in the country. Starlink had applied to start services in Pakistan last year. The company has been waiting for the green signal for a long time.

A report that came out a few days ago had revealed the possible price of Starlink's plan in Pakistan. According to this, the price of the Starlink plan for home use is likely to be between 6,800 and 28,000 Pakistani rupees per month. In this, users will get speeds of 50-250 Mbps. In addition to this, the price of the hardware required to get the Starlink service could be 97,000 Pakistani rupees. This comes to around 30,000 rupees in Indian currency.
On the other hand, the Starlink service for commercial use will be more expensive. For speeds of 100-500 Mbps, commercial users will have to pay 80,000 to 95,000 Pakistani rupees per month. The installation for commercial users will be expensive, for which they may have to pay around 2.20 lakh Pakistani rupees. However, these prices have not been confirmed by the company yet.
