Germany, which was ranked higher than Canada in 2021, has dropped to 22nd place this year. Finland has been named the happiest country in the world for the eighth consecutive time. Denmark, Iceland, Sweden and the Netherlands came in second, third, fourth and fifth respectively. The list of countries was prepared based on factors such as GDP per capita, social support, health, life expectancy and freedom.
India is ranked 118th in the list. Afghanistan is the last country in the list (147).
