Riyadh: Saudi Arabia is preparing for the third round of talks to end the Russia-Ukraine war. Separate talks between the United States, Russia and Ukraine will be held tonight or tomorrow. The talks will be held in the context of the two countries partially agreeing to a temporary 30-day ceasefire. US envoy Steve Witkoff expressed optimism. However, Russia has said that the path forward for the talks is difficult. The position is that this is just the beginning of the talks. There were earlier talks to end attacks on cargo ships and energy production areas, and to establish a ceasefire in the air and naval sectors.

The other day, President Vladimir Zelensky came out demanding that Russia keep its promise to the world countries to end the war with Ukraine and to establish a ceasefire. The Ukrainian president said that Russia is imposing unnecessary conditions to prolong the war. Zelensky also demanded that Russia be prepared to fulfill its promises to the world. Zelensky urged world powers to put pressure on Russia to end the war and fulfill its promises. Zelensky's response came during talks with European Union leaders. A meeting of top military officials from 20 countries, including France and the UK, has been scheduled to be held in London to discuss the issue.
