Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit India soon, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said. He confirmed in a televised address that preparations for the president's visit to India are underway. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited Russia after being elected for a third consecutive term. He added that it is now Russia's turn and arrangements are being made for Putin to visit India
However, he did not specify the likely month or date of the visit. Prime Minister Modi had invited the Russian President for an official visit during his visit to Russia last year. This is President Putin's first visit to India since the war in Ukraine broke out in February 2022. India and Russia have also agreed to double their bilateral trade to more than $100 billion annually.
