Beijing: The global trade war is escalating. China has finally made it clear that it is ready to negotiate with the US over US President Donald Trump's tariff policies. However, Chinese Commerce Ministry spokesman He Yongqian has warned the US that threats and blackmail are not the right way to deal with China.

China's position on tariffs is clear and consistent. If the US wants to talk about this issue, China's doors are open for them. But China will only allow talks based on mutual respect and equality. He Yongqian clarified that there is no need for a threatening tone.

He Yongqian warned that if the US wants to fight, our response will be the same and we will fight to the end.

The tension between the two countries is escalating in the context of the trade war being waged by US President Donald Trump. The United States has imposed an additional 125 percent tariff on China after China imposed an 84 percent tariff. This is the third time the US has imposed additional tariffs on China. After Trump's retaliatory tariffs came into effect, China and the European Union had imposed retaliatory tariffs against the United States. China today increased tariffs on US products from 34 percent to 84 percent. The new tariffs will come into effect from April 10. With this, Trump has imposed an additional 125 percent tariff on China.
