Kyiv: At least 21 people were killed and 83 injured in a Russian missile attack in Sumy, northern Ukraine, on Sunday morning, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said. Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Zelensky called for a strong international response to the attack. It was the deadliest attack in Ukraine this year.

Zelensky wrote on social media that only immoral people could act like this and take the lives of civilians. He also shared a video showing burnt-out vehicles and dead people.
The missile attack targeted the warehouse of an Indian pharmaceutical company in Kiev. The pharmacy owned by Indian businessman Rajiv Gupta was completely destroyed in the attack. Rajiv Gupta's Kusum is one of the largest pharmacies in Ukraine. Ukraine has accused Russia of deliberately targeting the company. The Ukrainian embassy in India has responded by saying that such actions targeting Indian companies are deliberate and that Moscow's goal is to destroy Indian companies despite claiming friendship.

The drug stockpile has been completely destroyed in the missile attack. The British ambassador to Ukraine, Martin Harris, shared information about the attack via X. "A major pharmaceutical warehouse in Kiev has been completely destroyed, and Russia's aggression against the Ukrainian people continues," Martin Harris wrote on Twitter.
