Prime Minister Mark Carney has launched the Canada Strong Pass to help Canadians make the most of their vacations amid trade tensions with the United States. It is a way for families and young people to travel to learn more about the country during the holidays.
Carney announced the new initiative, saying that as US President Donald Trump threatens our economy and sovereignty, Canadians are coming together to find new ways to discover and celebrate our beautiful country. The Canada Strong Pass will allow children and teens under the age of 18 to enter national galleries and museums for free. They can also travel free on VIA Rail when traveling with their parents. The pass will be available from June to August 2025. The pass will be available to young Canadians between the ages of 18 and 24. The new pass will allow a new generation to learn about the country by traveling to national parks, historic sites, and visiting the National Art Gallery and Museum, according to a government press release.
