Air India flights from Canada to India and back may take longer than expected, according to a report. Pakistan, which has taken tough measures against Pakistan after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, has also taken tough measures against India. In this, Pakistan has announced that it is closing Pakistan's airspace by banning flights of all Indian-owned or operated airlines. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's office issued a press release announcing the closure of Pakistan's airspace. With this, flights between India and North America, the UK, Europe and the Middle East will have to take alternative routes, Air India said. This will increase travel times.

Air India said in a statement that it regrets the inconvenience caused to passengers due to the closure of airspace. The statement also clarified that the safety of passengers and employees is the priority of Air India.

An Air India representative told the media that the airline currently operates regular flights from Toronto Pearson International Airport and Vancouver International Airport. The airline also offers connecting flights to Canadian cities such as Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal and Halifax, according to the Air India website.
