Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has reacted for the first time to the Pahalgam terror attack. The Pakistani Prime Minister said that he is ready for any impartial and transparent investigation. The response was made while speaking at a ceremony held at the Military Academy in Abbottabad. The Pakistani Prime Minister's response came while some leaders, including Pakistani ministers, were making provocative statements.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani Prime Minister said that the Pakistani army is fully capable of protecting the sovereignty and integrity of the country. Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan will continue to support the right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination- "Pakistan is being blamed again for the recent tragedy in Pahalgam. This must end. As a responsible country, Pakistan is ready to cooperate with any impartial, transparent and credible investigation."

Meanwhile, the Pakistani Prime Minister strongly criticized India's decision to freeze the Indus Water Treaty. The response is that if Pakistan tries to stop the water it claims, it will respond with full force. The Pakistani Prime Minister said that the Indus River is the lifeblood of Pakistan. 80 percent of the water for agricultural needs comes from the Indus River. Moreover, one-third of the hydroelectric power depends on the water of the Indus River basin.

26 people were killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier responded that the Pahalgam terrorist attack is a wound to the soul of the country and that the perpetrators of this terrorist attack and those who plotted it will be severely punished. Narendra Modi warned that they will be given an unimaginable retribution. Modi's warning was made at the National Panchayati Raj Day celebration in Madhubani, Bihar.

Modi's response came after paying tribute to those killed in the terrorist attack with a silent prayer. The Prime Minister reiterated that the terrorists will not be left alone, no matter where they hide. India is expressing its anger at the attack in unison. The Prime Minister responded that it is time to bury the remaining terrorists in the ground. India will pursue and punish terrorists and their supporters. Terrorism can never break the soul of India. Punishment for terrorism is certain. Every effort will be made to ensure that justice is done. The country is united for this cause. All those who believe in humanity are with us. The determination of 140 crore Indians is enough to break the backbone of the leaders of terrorists, Modi added.
