Turkey denies reports of aid to Pakistan. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that India and Pakistan should exercise restraint and do not want conflict in the region. Turkey has made it clear that it wants the tension between India and Pakistan to subside before it escalates into a more serious situation.

Erdogan was speaking after a cabinet meeting in Ankara. Turkey has stressed that there should be no new conflicts in its region and beyond. There were reports that Erdogan and his government are supporting Pakistan. There were reports that the Turkish Air Force had handed over 7 C-130 Hercules aircraft to Pakistan. But Erdogan denied this news.
