Washington: US President Donald Trump has reiterated his claim that he prevented India and Pakistan from a full-scale conflict. Trump has once again reiterated that he intervened and prevented both countries from a nuclear confrontation. He spoke to India and Pakistan about trade. Trump said at a press conference in the Oval Office that he told them that they cannot trade with people who shoot at each other and have the potential to use nuclear weapons.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk was also with him. Musk is stepping down as head of the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOE, in the Trump administration. 'We prevented India and Pakistan from fighting. This could have been a nuclear disaster,' Trump said. He praised his diplomacy and the cooperation of the leaders of both countries for easing tensions in the region.

'I want to thank the leaders of India, the leaders of Pakistan and my people. We are preventing others from fighting. Because ultimately we can fight better than anyone. We have the best military in the world. We have the best leaders in the world,' the US President claimed.

However, India's position is that the Directors General of Military Operations (DGsMO) between India and Pakistan had agreed to an immediate cessation of all firing and military operations on land, in the air and at sea. The central government had also clarified that there was no third party intervention in this matter.
