Elon Musk steps down from Trump administration

 

 

Elon Musk has stepped down from his duties in the administration led by US President Donald Trump. Elon Musk is stepping down from the position of head of the Trump administration's Department of Efficiency (DOGE). Musk had the position of a top adviser to Trump.

Musk wrote on social media, "Thank you to President Trump as my term as a special government employee in the Department of Efficiency ends." As my term as a special government employee ends, I want to thank the president for giving me the opportunity to reduce unnecessary expenses. The DOGE mission will strengthen over time. It will become a permanent method of government," Elon Musk wrote on X.

Musk's resignation comes after he criticized Trump. Musk had earlier said that he was disappointed with Trump's legislative move. Musk accused Trump's new bill of increasing the budget deficit and weakening the efficiency of the government's Department of Revenue.
